This gun was designed by Rolan Durr, the apprentice of Dr Macc MacMahon. The name Redeemer has never been properly explained by the duo, but rumors are that the young apprentice was once a common thug that broke into MacMahon's office to steal some food and was arrested. Instead of pressing charges, MacMahon gave the young man a job. At first, Durr only helped him with cleaning and shopping, but MacMahon also let him try to build tools and other items. Realizing how intelligent Durr truly was, the doctor offered him an apprenticeship. This gun is thought to be an homage to MacMahon for saving his apprentice from a life on the streets. Since this weapon uses a lot of modified parts, it is not compatible with Calypso repair terminals and can not be repaired.
