A gigantic beast, seemingly put together of the random odd parts. A bulky, humped body moves on four legs, the front pair being three times the length of the hind legs. A wide maw opens directly into the chest cavity, which also hides the peanut-shell sized brain. Two tough tentacles swing at the end of a muscular, bristly neck, ready to whack the unfortunate victim into oblivion.
In Latin, "hispidus" means rough, shaggy, hairy, bristly, prickly.
